Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

This is a challenging and unprecedented time. Currently the CDC is recommending that  for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the U.S.  Here is the latest info from the CDC:

On Sunday, March 15th, the Governor of California  urged people over the age of 65 to voluntarily stay home to help limit the Coronavirus spread and reduce exposure.   This is part of the strategy of social distancing and extremely important from a public health standpoint.

In accordance with the above guidelines, all of the CCPA supported Support Groups are cancelled for the rest of March, and we will let you know about April, including our planned Family Day BBQ in Nipomo as we get closer.

On Wednesday the Parkinson Foundation is having a live FB presentation their medical director, Dr. Michael S. Okun, and infectious disease expert, Dr. Frederick S. Southwick, both of the University of Florida, a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence. Dr. Okun and Dr. Southwick will be on hand to answer YOUR questions about the disease and discuss the precautions you and your loved ones should take to stay healthy.  The title is "Information on Coronavirus for the Parkinson's Community"  and will be available to watch live Wednesday March 18, 2020 from 7 am to 7:30 am (recording should be available later).  Just click on the link below for more info.
